It was in January of 2022 when Patrick and Kelsey first met. She was a waitress in a small-town Italian restaurant and he was playing for the city's professional hockey team. One night, he and a few of his teammates came into the establishment for dinner and she was working the bar. After they finished their meal Patrick came up to the bar and he and Kelsey shared a simple but effortless conversation. Soon after he left without asking for her number and within two weeks of that first meeting she received a text message asking to take her out for dinner.

They shared their first meal at a restaurant called The Point and from then on the rest was history. The two became fast friends and by the end of July, they were officially dating.

In August of that year, Patrick left for his first season of hockey overseas in Slovakia. Kelsey was finishing up her nursing degree at West Liberty University and the two, even so far away remained inseparable. In December of 2022 after she graduated she went overseas to visit him, they traveled to Vienna, Austria for their first Christmas together and Budapest, Hungry for New Years. Patrick's season ended in April of 2023 and from there, decided to come live with Kelsey and Bruce (their dog) in Morgantown, West Virginia while she embarked on her first job as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse. During that summer of 2023, they traveled to Maryland, Canada, Mississippi, and Tennessee visiting family and friends as often as they could.

In August of 2023, Patrick went back overseas to England to play another season of hockey while Kelsey remained in West Virginia pursuing her career. While overseas not only was Patrick crowned a grand slam champion but he also was completing his MBA. Kelsey made time to visit him on three separate occasions. While over there they visited Manchester, Sheffield, and London. On her final trip over to see him in April of 2024 they visited Paris, The Amalfi Coast, and Rome. It was at a beautiful hotel in Praiano, Italy where Patrick got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to be his wife. She of course said YES! Their love has been nothing short of an adventure.

In August of 2024 the two of them moved to England together for Patrick's last season of hockey and the traveling continued. Kelsey started her MSN-FNP journey and shortly after living there they added a new member to the family, Molly! The season was quick, full of excitement and new memories. They took a trip to Berlin, a few more back to London and Patrick even traveled to Switzerland and Sweden. The four of them returned to Maryland in May of 2025 to spend time with family and friends before moving permanently to Texas.

The two of them are now living and working out of Dallas, Texas with their two dogs Bruce and Molly.
